Rain wedding planning sparks sparkle wedding sparks
A wedding in Australia has been held under the scorching sun for the first time ever.
The sparkle of colour, the shimmer of colours and the sheer volume of guests have been captured on camera by photographers from around the world.
The Sydney wedding was organised by Australian photographer, Jessen, who travelled from Brisbane to the Australian capital on a whim to capture the occasion.
He was thrilled with the reception, which was packed with love and joy and took place in the Australian National Centre for Photography (ANCP) in Canberra.
“The whole of the wedding was a celebration of life and the way people are,” he said.
“It was like an event in itself.
It was so well organized and there was so much joy.”
The bride and groom wore a full set of colourful wedding gowns and jewellery, including a bouquet of white roses.
A crowd of more than 2,000 people gathered in the hall outside the centre, while guests also lined the streets in celebration.
“People were really enjoying themselves,” said Jessen.
“There were so many people there, I couldn’t believe it.
I felt so much more at home, at ease, at the end of the day.”
The wedding reception was held on the same day as a wedding in Singapore, but the wedding reception in Australia was held a week earlier.
Jessen said it was an experience that he would never forget.
“I am happy I did it, and it was a real life moment for me,” he told Al Jazeera.
“At the end I felt really at home.
I am just so grateful that we all were together, because it was such a wonderful day.”
