Why a wedding installment planner can’t afford to plan your wedding for you

If you want to get married this fall in New York City, you can expect to pay about $7,500 to $9,000 for your first-class tickets.
But if you want the most bang for your buck, the wedding planner’s budget can run into the millions.
Here are the three biggest costs: Food and drinks: Depending on your budget, you might need to pay an extra $500 to get the best food and drinks.
Here’s a breakdown of what you might be spending on food and beverages for your wedding: * $1,000: The cost of a large glass of wine, which usually costs about $10.
This can be paid for at a fancy restaurant, or by paying at the bar.
* $3,000 : The cost to have your wedding reception, which can be done for free.
* About $2,000 per day: If you plan to stay for six months, you may need to fork over about $2 million for your stay, according to the Wedding Planning Institute, which works with many of the big-name wedding planners in the city.
“They’re very aware of the potential that a wedding can generate in terms of income,” says Katie Cogan, the institute’s senior editor.
“There’s a lot of pressure to get this to happen.”
The costliest part: Transportation.
This includes getting from one venue to another.
Some couples opt to go to a bus, but many others plan to hire a car.
For some, a private helicopter can be the best option.

For couples that don’t have a car, a wedding van can cost up to $3 million.
“Most people are more willing to pay a lot for that,” says Cogan.
“The big difference is the cost of the van.”
For some couples, the price is too much.
“It’s an investment,” says Blythe Mays, a senior planner at Wedding Planner Group, which is in the business of planning weddings for couples who are financially independent.
“You’re paying for the privilege of being able to have a wedding, but at the same time you’re saving money.
So you’re not investing.”
For other couples, she says, “it’s less about saving money than it is saving time.”
The biggest expense: The flowers.
Flowers are often the biggest expense of a wedding.
Some planners prefer to hire an artist to create the bouquets and decor, but others choose to hire flowers themselves.
You’ll probably have to pay for the labor to bring the flowers to the venue, which typically takes anywhere from $150 to $200.
(Some planners also use professional stylists to bring flowers to your wedding.)
You can pay for a professional service with a small gift certificate or by buying flowers online, but if you’re lucky, you’ll have the opportunity to hire someone to do it for you.
The price of a professional photographer: Many couples opt for a photographer for the first time.
For a wedding that will take place at your home, you’re likely to pay between $1 million and $5 million for a wedding photographer, according.
That could be an expensive investment, and it’s not something you want if you don’t want to spend a lot on flowers.
“I would recommend that you look into a different photographer,” says Mays.
For weddings where you’ll be traveling or staying with a large group of people, the photographer may be a better option, because he or she will have more experience and be able to help plan the ceremony in advance.
If you do decide to hire the photographer, be prepared for an increase in costs.
“Depending on the type of photographer, you could be paying a lot more upfront for flowers,” says Sallie Thompson, a planner with The Wrecking Crew in New Orleans, Louisiana.
You could also be paying for an additional suite, which costs between $50,000 and $80,000.
